My name is Brianna Fischler.

I am a violist, violinist, and educator.

I’m based in Portland, ME.

After graduating with a degree in violin performance, I spent several years contemplating what it meant to be a muscian in today’s world. Over time, I began to identify with the term “citizen artist”.

A citizen artist is a person who uses their skills to engage with and contribute to our communities. We leverage our art to address political, social, and cultural issues, aiming to inspire change, provoke thought, and advocate for causes that are meaningful to us.

Today, I am a member of Palaver Strings and the Portland String Quartet. In addition to teaching at the Palaver Music Center, I also run my own private studio.
